At the June 3, 2024, Special Council Meeting, Town Council accepted the SAGE Investigation Report findings that Councillor Sacha Martens and Councillor Judy Stenhouse breached various sections of the Town of High Prairie Council Code of Conduct Bylaw 09-2022.
Council imposed the following sanctions:
For Councillor Sacha Martens:
Suspending her from all Council committees and bodies to which Council has the right to appoint members, until December 31, 2024 (Bylaw 09-2022 s.20.4.g.).
For Councillor Judy Stenhouse
Suspending her from all Council committees and bodies to which Council has the right to appoint members, until December 31, 2024 (Bylaw 09-2022 s.20.4.g.).
Council passed a unanimous resolution to make the SAGE Investigation Report public:
That the May 2024 the SAGE Investigation Report on Town of High Prairie council code of conduct complaints be made available on the Town website, pending a FOIP review, and a copy be sent to Lesser Slave Lake MLA, and the Minister of Municipal Affairs.
